Finally! Box is in/done/finished/playing. It's muuuuch louder than the last box.
Best of all----------->Stereo progress is Trainhorn progress. The extra battery is installed and 1/0 ran to the bed along with miscellaneous wires. Back to the horns- |

I know detailed-oriented projects take time (heck, my on board air project is going on 10 months), so I'm just asking, not mocking or trying to needle. The reason I find it worth inquiring about is because three years is at least one generation (and sometimes two generations) of technology -- meaning speakers, amps, and the like have all improved in that window of time. Are you planning gear upgrades? Last edited by surrealone; 26th May 2013 at 09:40 PM. |

Yeah, it's the 2nd go around for the box. The 1st one sucked.
I hear ya on the equipment. I actually ditched the Alpine Imprint and bought an RF 3Sixty.3 If I bought new stuff today, I would buy completely different equipment. But I'm just glad it's done & I can move on. |

Melted fuseholder.
I used Knukonceptz Kolossus 1/0ga. I called them during the planning stages about the amp load and wire size. They said it would be fine at that length. I guess they were right - the wire is fine. The fuseholder wasn't up to the task. So, this spring I'm adding 2 runs of 1/0ga. One to the rear battery - one to the bed for the compressors. Then I can run smaller fuses on each. |

Thanks for the replies fellas. I think I am gonna reduce the size of TV down to 48" and go with the new Yamaha receiver and a speaker "package". I will post up some pictures of the house and the system when I get it all finished up. Should be around the end of the month.
