Pics of said corolla with 2 K5s?
It by far nothing fancy and it is a very old install as I have had these for just over 4 years. I had to cut, drill and tap pieces of plate aluminum in order to mount the horns off the manifolds. A few of the horns are under the plastic skid plates also. But you’ll get the idea. There’s 5 bells behind the grill, 1 in the engine bay, 1 in the fog light housing and the other 3 firing down above the plastic skid plates under the front end.
Here are the last pics, They all fire down except for one firing forward through a fog light hole. The 12 gallon is in the truck, the 5 gallon is in the spare tire well, and the extra kenetic battery is down in the spare tire well also.
Wow, that’s great. I was gonna try to pick up another K3 to split up and put on my car. I bet that took up some time… It took me forever to fit my shockers on my accord.
Yeah Curt, lol. My Bad.
My regulator is 225 cfm, regulates up to 300psi and I paid $60 for it from Mcmastercarr.com
Yall are making me want to take my regulator off. lol.
Also my horns are not screechy. They are nice and deep. If I barely open my valve the large bells chime in first, so even just barely opening the valve they are deep. I friend of mine has a set of K5LA’s on his F150 running 200 psi and when he barely opens the valve the smaller chimes come on first (the opposite of mine). But he also has just one set and his are still on the Nathan manifold. He is about to install another set in the front of his truck with the bells of the manifold like mine so we will see what happens then.
will a solenoid valve put extra wear on the horns since the air hits them with full force, rather than a manual when it hits them slower?
Yes, it will, over time though. My RS5T wouldn’t even sound correctly on a solenoid valve.
I’m not sure about that… It just gets the diaphragms moving quicker. I don’t see that being a problem at all.
