5/8" I.D hose

Thats cool and all, but how big is the port on the tank? If they haven’t been modified they are probably 1/2" right? So if i’m not mistaken you are using a 1/2" port, 5/8" I.D. airline, and a 3/8" port… its only going to flow at 1/2" because of the port.

This is why I’ve got 2 ports, 2 valves, and 1/2" OD airline, so it is equal to a 1" OD airline, or something similiar to a 3/4" ID airline.

Isn’t 1/2" DOT tubing around 5/16" I.D.? Isn’t it .095 wall thickness?
Area of 2 - 5/16" I.D. lines is .1534 sq inches.

Now the I.D. of the 1/2" NPT x 5/8" hose barb is somewhere around 7/16".
Area of 7/16" I.D. is .1503 sq inches.

Almost identical.

I do have 1/2" ports in my tank. Have you ever actually measured the size of a 1/2" port? It measures about 5/8" in diameter on the inside of the threads. So… that is equal to the inside diameter of my airline. My biggest restriction would be the inside diameter of the 5/8" barb fitting.

And that’s what I was referring to approximately 7/16".
