looking good! next time i do mine im gonna do lime green or somthing… something cool!
Just curious, why are the “30109” scratched off of the back caps?
I don’t know. That is how I got them. I bought them from a friend.
probably got them from a train…and being scared of getting caught they grind the numbers off…also no serial numbers…ive seen those before like this…on a buddys truck
And the funny thing is, the part number on the back cap can’t identify anything. Actually, the serial number can only tell what railroad it was shipped to, not the exact train, as railroads are always swapping out horns and throwing them out.
(This doesn’t mean go out and steal them to anyone thinking of doing so)
brb dumpster diving in my local train yard
Good Luck!!!
I talked to my friend that I got mine from. He said that his dad works on trains at a train yard. That is where he got them. His dad salvaged them before they were thrown away.
Yup, some really brainy types out there. They haven’t yet figured out that grinding the parts numbers off (that’s all the 30109 is, a part number) and defacing the serial number on the tag makes the thing scream “I’M STOLEN!!!”
