yea i ordered one also but i still am mad that the check valve is worse than the old one
Those larger industrial “in tank” check valves are flawless. They are about $20 for one, but it is worth every penny.
well when it gets here I will install it and hope that i can get it to stop leaking at the compressor also. im worried about cracking the compressor head. the old one was pretty tight.i put the new one at 1/4 turn after handtight and it was still leaking any tips?
Did u use pipe tape to seal the threads? Rector Seal 5 works even better.
I used liquid teflon. that works best for me. they are sendind me another check valve from hornblasters. i will install when it gets here and hope it seals up at the compressor
i ordered my industrial check valve over the weekend, should have it on this week i hope.
and i always use pipe dope to seal my stufff up, never had much luck with teflon tape.
I installed my ebay check valve tonight. I will tell you how it goes tommorow evening when the teflon dries.
Thread tape is a PITA, but I use it because that is what I have in my tool box. lol
got my check valve in the mail today, wrong size. only have a 1/4" outlet off my compressor, not 3/8. so had to order a new one, 1/4’ this time.
so i have a new 1/2" out, 3/8" in now that i have no use for lol
filled mine up afterwork today seems to be holding good pressure will let you knowfor sure tommorrow.
Why didn’t you just buy a reducer at your local hardware store?
never seen a 3/8 to 1/4 reducer. not enough meat in a normal bushing to reduce it like that, and i don’t have room where my tank is located at to use a longer reducer.
3/8" M x 1/4" F?
Home Depot, etc should have those:
But if you have a new one on order u should be all good
hmm, my local hardware store did not have one. oh well. new one is on its way anyway, and the guy is gonna take the old one back.
