I can’t see for the life of me. How a debris cover will make a horn louder. The covers that are cone shape are snow covers.
yea its not that the covers make it louder, its without the covers it sounds like there suppose to. Im not sure if everyone is on the same page here on what covers were talking about, i was refering to the bell covers that hornblasters sell which i bought and made my k5s sound real muffled. The pic you have of cone shape covers dont have any effect on sound because they still allow all the air and sound to get out of the bells without any interferance. go to hornblasters and look at the covers, you can see how much of the fabric surrounds the outside of the bells and kills the sound.
I know what you are talking about about. I had to find a pic to post so I reposted. These are the better covers. I have those covers on quite a few of my horns in my collection.
