New girl from Florida :)

lol it’s okay, I just don’t know where to mount the horns. And I read that the tubes need to be the same length from each horn so that they blow all at once. We put the compressor in the toolbox and that’s it for now. I was thinking of mounting the horns under the toolbox so they face out towards the back? Can they get wet??

:frowning:

of course the horns can get wet, alot of people got them under the vehicle

Well the thing is I take my truck muddin a lot and I dont want to mess em up by keepin mud and water sittin in the horns…

oh and here’s a pic of my longhorn haha…

Full of win!!

If you mud on the regular put them under the tool box. don’t put them under the truck…when i got to 5A I cover all my stuff up with trash bags to keep them from getting filled with dirt and mud…Water is not problem tho.

Hey welcome to the forum !
Like Allstrobedup said, If you do heavy mudding just cover them up with plastic trash bags. I have mine under the truck(Check Sig) but I don’t do heavy mudding. When they hit heavy water I just give mine A blast and they clean right out. The horns you have are very durable and will take plenty of abuse.
Good Luck…

You can mount them between the radiator and grille if they’ll fit. U may have to make some adjustments to make them fit.

Yeah I’ll have to look under the hood but they are so long I doubt they will fit. I can’t use my spare because I have 35’s and that won’t work for me lol and I have seen other people put their horns where the spare was but that’s all the way in the back. Does it even make a difference?

Are these horns loud anyway? lol because I am going to be sad if I put in all this work and get disappointed :frowning:

You should have plenty of room for all 4 in the grille but you’ll more than likely have to pull some stuff off to get them there. That’s where mine would go if I had shockers. I’ve never heard a set of shockers before, other than on vids on here, but from what they say you won’t be disappointed.

Mount them here…

As you can see I go mudding a lot too and everything is still fine.
10inches of suspension lift and running 37’s!

And they ARE loud… Just wait and you will be happy you did it.

Yea see I knew somebody had shockers mounted in the grille of an F-150. Def. put them there… Good post with plenty of pics Stuntgod.

i LOVE these clean installs. (sometimes it’s better that no one can see the horns)

Where did you put your compressor? And I don’t want anyone to see my horns lol.

The compressor and tank is on the frame rail under the passenger side of the cab

well we put mine in the toolbox. Do you think that’s going to be okay or is that going to be too far?

btw, did you change the gears in your truck if so what are they?

No, I don’t think that is to far.

The gears are 3.73, I don’t see any need to change them… I do a lot of highway driving now and average about 13mpg… Around town though my mpg’s drop to like 10…

is all of it suspension lift or is some of it body? I want to add 3 inches to my 6 inch lift but I don’t want to have to get an all new kit so I just want to add 3’’ body and put on some 37’s. My truck is doggy as it is though so I’m thinkin I’m goin to have to change the gears.

Toolbox is the perfect place for tank and compressor. I dont think there could be a better place… Here’s mine
