Well ive been slacking a lot, so i figured i would get my ride up. I bought my conductor 540 kit from Matt back in july or so. And i have nothing but joy out of these. What was weird though (being nineteen) my dad thought it was a bad idea but my mom liked it. I made my own mount for the horns, pretty bad for a second time welder espicially for welding aluminum to steel but it works. Ill probably redo it over my christmas break. Also my dad thought it was only going to be two horns until i pulled out the other two hahaha. We did to a test with one horn and a blow gun. Holy sht was it loud. "were only putting one horn on, ummm bullsht" truck was also repainted a month later due to rust and the great paint used in the 90’s with the paint peeling. This kit is very well put together with great customer service, my only problem is i want to be louder already lol. Hopefully the pictures will work.
Also were can i get the big shocker decals that say hornblasters on them, i see stinkypete has them. Think there 8-10"
Sweet ride! Believe me, my dad was the same way, WAS… cough, now when ever he borrows my truck I hear stories from him on how he scared the hell out of people with the horns. My mom likes the horns also, and she might be getting some on her car sometime in the future.
Keep an eye out on ebay i got mine for about 700 they were pretty bad they were covered in grease/diesel soot. Someone cut the snow cones off of mine so i removed the parts that were left. I used paint thinner to take it off with some steel wool. I could not remove all of the origonal paint that was left on them, i just spray painted over what was there. I wish i could have removed it all because i can see lots of imperfections but what does it matter if they are going to be under my car someday. I did take the time to remove all paint and my spray paint from all number/ letters so that they still look good. They are also late 90s
