200 psi Fittings?

What’s your thoughts on those nylon (plastic kind) push-in type fittings running at 200psi? When I install the manual valve, I’m going to up the ante and go to 200psi by installing twin 480C compressors.

My whole air supply line is littered with these types of fittings and I’ve never had any issues or leaks with them, but I know they tend to start going to a metal type when you run high pressures through them. Just wondering if the nylon types are up to the task or if I have to replace a bunch of fittings.

I have 200 psi and those kind started leaking after a while with that kind of pressure.

I switched all my connections to 1/2" NPT connections for my k3la setup.

Teflon tape and a good wrench and some elbow grease!

yah i dont think those will stand up to 200psi. plus remember to use loctite 545 on the threads if you dont want them to leak cause a 200 they will if you have tread tape.

good place to get push fittings is at http://www.airedup.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1_44

Yea, this is what I was worried about. Looks like I may have to rethink some of my fittings. I’ve not only got the horn supply lines to worry about because I run a spliced line to a gauge and dual Nitto fittings on the side of the car.

I’ve got some which are nickel plated (high pressure rated push fit) which can cope with the 200psi I think so those should be fine. Here’s some on the new mounting blocks I made the other day for the chimes.

Problem is that they also cost over $20 each, so they add up.
The ones that did worry me are these:
