250 vac 15a toggle switch not working

I have troubleshot my system and everything seems to be working fine. The 150 PSI Compressor come on and off and stops at 150 psi and starts a 80 PSI but when I hit the switch, nothing happens. Do I need a new switch? or should I check something else first? The switch is labeled as an 250 VAC 15A

Help… I need to scare the F@ck out of someone really fast.

Steve

try using a different switch?

Are you sure it’s the switch that isn’t working?

I bought two different switches. both were 15a but not 250 vac. Does it have to be 250vac and 15a?

no it doesn’t have to be 250v & 15A that is saying it will handle a MAXIMUM of 250v OR 15A

I was saying that you should make sure the switch is working properly, but if you purchased it new, chances are it is… Make sure the contacts are being made with the switch. make sure there is power going to the switch.

Are you talking about your momentary button for the horn valve?
Make sure the ground connection is good for the solenoid.

^^^ wot he said.

One quick way to check is to let all the air out the tank, disconnect the feed wire to the solenoid valve, then run a temp feed from the battery to the solenoid wire, you should hear it clicking? if not, check your earth/ground wire.
