hey guys. ive had this kit on ym truck for about a year and a half now. only 1 trumpet is blowing and it sounds super weird. any reason why the other 3 stopped working? they dont push any air out and the backsides are not cracked or broken. i can post pictures if youd like. i have them off my truck so i can repare/replace the trumpets.
If they’re not pushing air then it must be a blockage. Take the end caps off, take a look and give them a good clean.
I took off the the 3 end caps and cleaned them, put caps back on but now they only push what sounds like air through them. not making any horn pitch. and they seem to be leaking out of the caps. should i have used a new gasket/put a rubber gasket maker in caps and then seal close? thanks for the input.
EDIT** i will post pictures and video tomorrow.
Two things have to seal:
- The diaphragm against the seat (think of the ring/surface which the diaphragm rests on looking into the trumpet); and
- the end cap
