So, Ive spent the last week researching and so on and then found this forum this morning and did some searching on here… However, im still unsure about which kit I want to buy.
The criteria that I want is:
-Obviously loud as hell
-Sealed Compressor
-5 Gallon tank
-Compressor capable of running air tools
I have a 2009 Silverado with a 7.5 inch suspension lift and 35s with a 3 inch bodylift and 37s waiting to be installed. Everything blacked out from windshield/windows, to all trim.
My goal for my setup is to for sure mount the tank on my frame rail and either mount the compressor on frame rail or in the bed. I want the compressor for the horns and then Ill run a line into my bed into a toolbox where a 50foot air hose will be on a real.
I want to be able to air up 37 inch tires when on the dunes and power an impact wrench for trail side repairs and wheel swaps.
…and then there is how much i am willing to spend, which is between $500 and $700. I know that limits some things but just hoping to get some better input from those that have been there and done that.

Our compressor costs almost 3 times what you want to spend but will fill a 37" off road tire from 15 to 30 in a little over a minute and can run a 1/2" impact wrench without a tank. It can fill a 10 gallon tank from 0 to 150 PSI in 1 minute 47 seconds.
Are you using automatic tire deflators for airing down?
Almost $1500 for an XD3000 if order directly from us, use Hornblasters. They include a leader hose & check / unloader valve with them. We charge extra for those.
welcome to the forum, say if you get a top line 100 duty cycle compressor, 10 gallon would be ideal. now if you are in to dunes off road ect, i have seen this… a guy replaced both front and rear bumpers with round 8’’ pipe custom fab with wintch step ect… but the bumpers wear sealed and used as air tanks!! with drain holes and all… just a suggestion.??? worked out great for him. had two grover horns under the truck. and used air for quads, and other things it was nice set up.
