Hello. I have a Hummer H2, and I’d like to get an Air Horn, but from the pics i’ve seen of the setups in other cars, the lever to use the horn is usually not well hidden, and actually ruins the aesthetics of the car.
I’m a noob on this matter, so I don’t know much, my question is, is there a way to install an air horn, but have the horn make the sound with for example the press of a button instead?
Are there pics on the forum of a setup on a car that uses that? I’d really like to see it. I don’t want to ruin the aesthetics of the car, and also it’s illegal where I live, so I don’t want to risk getting stopped, and the cops seeing it.
very few here use a manual valve the pics of the hummer on hornblasters website… they chose the manual valve which does not come with any of the hornblasters kits. the manual valve is just an option.
Welcome Cashville. Look through the installs section of the forum and you’ll find pics of people using a button (momentary switch) to activate their horn, or you can connect the trigger wire for the solenoid valve to your stock truck horn like I did. You can look through my pics if you’d like.
What Big Yella said…I have 3 sets of horns on the smallest car currently imported into the USA…if I can hide 3 sets on THAT, you can SURELY figure out a way to bury a single set on your Hummer…
Mine all work through the stock horn button too, by the way…any one I choose, or any combination, or all of them turned off, including the compressor.
Thanks for all the replies, I thought most kits came with the lever.
I’ll have to look into this, as I’m not going to do the setup myself, I’ll have to ask someone in my country to do it for me.
