Whether you go with a 5 gallon or 3 gallon tank… my question is, once the compresser fills the tank to pressure capacity. IF that air is not used on the horn, is it okay to leave the tank with compressed air in it? I didn’t know if prolonged storage of compressed air in these tanks was a bad idea or not…

I have a 3 gal tank and not been in my truck for 3 days, Its still pressured up at 200psi, I do it all the time, Its fine.
Just make sure to drain your tanks often… Hook up a solenoid valve to the drain to make it easier to do. Your tank will last you longer and fittings will thank you that they dont have to deal with corrosive moisture.
