my air valve is stuck open and I do not know why
held the horn for about 5-6 seconds and let off but it was still honking
not sure what to check for this problem
(I have only honked it once today, wasnt in the best spot to honk but it needed to be done)
What valve are you using? If you’re system is higher pressure than the valve is rated for this may be the cause.
Do you drain your tank often? It may have been caused by debris getting stuck inside of the valve.
It is fixed now, I pulled the power wire from it and then plugged it back in and it works now
I’m not sure what valve I’m using because it isnt on the hornblasters website, but they sent it to me with my complete air kit
I just drained the air tank
same thing happened again today, honked several times before no problems and then a 3 second hold and it just stayed open… do I need to disconnect it and
clean it or what?
(p.s. stopped at a light after the valve stuck open and a guy in the jeep next to me told me in his words “you scared the livin’ horse crap outta me!, that was awesome!”)
read my post, it’s a few below. same thing was happening to me. open up the solenoid, check for rust or debris. if it’s clean, check your solenoid’s ground. if it’s good, then you have a valve rated for less pressure than your system has running through it.
