Has anybody ever tried to put the airline from tank to the side of the manifold instead of the bottom where you would mount the manifold? Hopefully that made sense.
never tried it…but im sure u could do it… dunno why u would want to tho…
I was just wondering because it might save me from drilling a large diameter hole into the frame along with 4 other holes for mounting the manifold.
If im not mistaken, i cant remember but arent those holes smaller then the one in the center??

then u wont get as much air flow to the horns if u only use the side ports

Isn’t the thread linked below, your first thread where you asked about mounting and I responded with a pic of mine told you that you can do like I did and attach the airline to the side of the manifold?

IIRC on my K5 manifold the inlet on the bottom of the manifold is the same ID as the inlet on the side. The inset around the bottom inlet is larger, but the actual ID of both inlets was the same. Double check the ID’s on yours, they should match unless your manifold is different than mine. If yours is different and the ID on the side is a smaller diameter, refer to Scaredu’s response. They’ll still honk plenty loud trust me.

yela, i dunno man i think ur truck is missing something, looks good but i dunno something is urkin me about it… whether its the cap or its missing some side steps or something i dunno…lol i just see its bulky in the front and the rear and all smooth in between…ugh…lol nevermind… haha

The sides steps are electric and retract under the body when you close the doors. I know what you mean tho. I will add a light bar over the cab one day with more PIAA’a and mount the K5 up there, hoping that’ll balance it out some. Only other thing I’ve thought of doing is adding some graphics but I haven’t even come close to figuring out what I want cause I’m so damn picky! Also want to lift it more and bag it, but that’s even further down the road.
