I’ve been using a 1/2" noid with 3/4" air brake hose leading to the 1/2" port on the bottom of my K3HA for years now.
I’m currently building a new roof rack to replace my old one and would rather plug the 1/2" port on the bottom and instead use one (or both) of the 3/8" ports on the sides.
This way, I won’t have to snake a large hose under the new rack like I did with the old one
Is there any noticeable difference between the 1/2" port and the 3/8" port?
Doubt it. I have twin independant 1/2" lines going to individual 1/2" fittings direct to each bell and opening up on both lines or one makes no noticeable difference.
Sorry, no real world comparisons. Maybe one port would be enough depending on the I.D. of that 3/8" fitting. And hopefully it’s a straight fitting instead of an elbow which restricts flow. I would use both ports, especially with elbows, but that’s me.
