I went and looked at it today and I think It’s a leslie, not sure of the model though, biggest bell flare is about 9-10" across. We hooked it up to air and only one of the trumpets sounded. He said it may need to be cleaned so we took the back caps off and cleaned all the dirt/dust from it sitting for a few years and it still only sounded on one trumpet. would this be a good buy and would it be worth trying to fix?
Looks like a Leslie RS3 Supertyfon. You can get one fully restored and power coated for around 600 … so up to you. If you know what you’re doing, know where to get parts and can restore the horn back to working condition - then I’d be considering 200-250 perhaps - not knowing what needs fixing. Apart from that, I probably wouldn’t bother.
I wanted to get it today, but it was quite a bit bigger than i was expecting, so I had to pass, ended up finding another guy locally that had a k3la
