i havent got one yet, a buddy of mine was cought in a parking lot and thet threatened to confenscate the horns… and im a huge ford fan but here how it works, best trucks hands down… cars and SUV’s, not so much… my f-150 has 130,000 hard miles… and my old ranger blew up at right under 300,000 and it was my falt.
when i was home one time. the cops of CORPUS CHRISTI,TEXAS threathend to take my horns off of my vehicle but then i pulled out some of my known laws that i had…
texas state law states that you CAN have a air horn signaling device as long as it is regulated at 115psi or below…and if this is your primary horn you must have 5 or more gallons of air and the device must face towards the front
wonder is florida has any laws like that and were i cuold find them

Not to be rude but…how could you fight a horn ticket? I mean if you had horns on your car and you blasted right near a cop, arn’t you caught?

I hate to disagree but my 98 explorer has 241,000 on it and runs like a clock and the A/c will freeze you out. Replaced t-case at 190,000 nothing else burns no oil. My dad has a 94 F150 with 384,000 miles …original motor never touched ,trans replaced at 180,000. Oil changed exactly at 3,000.
my ford has a 225000 hard miles on it and nothing has been touched on it. and i have never got a ticket but i sold somebody a horn and they got caught the first day with it lol.
you can go to the court and tell them that you didn’t honk and you want to fight this ticket so they give you a date and you go to court if the cop show up you are fucked ut if he does not you don’t have to pay a cent… tahts what i am doing on may 27

yea i know. im startin to baby it now. At 300,000 im rebuildin the motor and its either goin back in stock or one bad to the bone diesel!!! Dont really know yet im leanin towards makin it bad to the bone lol
thing is tri4ubb is that your explorers gas engine will probably never see 225000 miles and nor will mine without major repairs. My friends dad runs a huge trucking company called cal-ark and he said a lot of there trucks have 1000000 miles or more on them. deisels are great.
ive got 232,000 on my '98 f150. only major repair was the tranny at 225,000. runs great. never had a problem with it. i raced a cummins dually tonight and beat him by a couple lengths. dont get my wrong, i would take a diesel over a gasser any day, but mine does just fine for what it is. you’re probably right about the explorer though, they are crap. my brother’s runs like poo
dont get me wrong you can get that mileage out of gas engines. I guess what i meant was 225000 is just getting broke in for a deisel especially a semi or cummins. The truck usually falls apart around the engine

Well got my first ticket for my train horn lol. At least the cop was cool and was wanting to buy it and the other cop used to have one lol. So lah33 don’t honk in benton cause they are getting phone calls about train horns coming from walmart lol.
