I have a buddy that went up to his wife’s parents house this past weekend. My friend was telling his father in law about my Nathan P3’s on my Trailblazer SS, and then the old man pulled out these ***** horns you see below.
Basically the story is this…the family had an old steam engine that was passed down in the family, apparently they operated some sort of train line back in the day. The locomotive was passed to the old man a long time ago, back in the late 70’s…and that is supposedly when these horns were purchased. They were going to do a full restoration on the engine…but it never happened. He held onto the horns…which are still brand new.
My friend sent me these pics from his cell phone, and wanted to see if they had any sort of value. Anyone have any experiences with them? Any info anyone can provide is great.
If I remember correctly, he told me the longest horn is about 18" long or so…maybe 20".
Those are old ***** Strombos air horns. Not sure what they’d be worth since it’s more of a collector horn but you can see how much their new horns cost here: B U E L L airhorns .com
they are b uell classic airhorns… they aren’t train horns they are more marketed towards marine and rv’s… of course my opinion that price is wayyyyy over priced…
The name of the horns is censored because that is the brand that makes the S4 horns, and because this website is owned by hornblasters they do not want people to know that. You can actually buy the S4 horns for much cheaper directly from them than you can from hornblasters.
