okay guys here is a question for you. I have a 480c that i got from my oldman, it is was used on his system then he changed it and i took his old stuff. I am having a problem with it filling up my tank which is a 5 gallon i think. It fills it to like 160 and then it keeps running and does not fill it anymore. I have industrial checkvalve and there are no leaks and tank holds the 160 overnight. The 480 is about 4 years old. HAs it gone bad? Any help would be great. Oh by the way its nice to be here. Jason i also have a 165/200 pressure switch but the comp never shuts off
anybody?
get a new leader hose
just wondering why i should get a new leader hose. The system pumps up to 160 so that leads me to believe the hose is not plugged, it is not leaking because it hold the 160 all night i am kind of baffled here, i am not knocking you, i am just looking to understand it thats all
how long does it take the compressor to get from 0-160?
takes about 4-5 mins
Does the system have a safety pop valve and could it be set lower than the pressure switch? Is the pressure switch hooked up correctly? Could the pressure switch be malfunctioning?
no safety valve tested it today it took like 10-12 mins to get to 200 from 160 so it will fill but does it alot slower than it used to. Thats why i am thinking the comp it gettin ready to go.
consider our compressor when yours finally quits working. It can top off a 5 gallon tank from 160 to 200 in about 20 seconds.
