I have em for my 5/8" I.D. but probably can’t answer your question.
I have so many other leaks, I haven’t bothered to soap the actual hose connections.
They sure don’t seam to leak, as I used 2 wormdrive clamps per connection.
When I redo my setup this year I’m getting the t-bolt clamps from Fastenal. They can be tightened further.
We only recommend a barbed fitting on the intake side. Use good pipe fittings with Teflon based pipe dope, tape, or Loctite and you’ll have a lot less leaks to look for.
No barbed fittings should be used for high pressure lines. Since intake air is low pressure, atmospheric air, you’re fine there. Always use quality brass compression fittings if you don’t want leaks down the road.
I have PTC on the shocker kit but hose barbs on the semi horns. The hose and barbs are same ones used for pressure washers. They work fine as long as the hose fits tight enough on the barb even without the clamp. After clamping, they don’t leak. If the barb is smaller than the hose (even just a little) it would be good only for the first few weeks then leak most of the time since then.
Keepig the barbs on the intake side is smart. Maybe the output after the valves too. I’ll just keep all sealed and factory hoses between the tank and the valve extensions. But who cares if it leaks a lil on the horn side or the filter side Small leaks. Not full on open hoses
