Best complete kit for under $300?

Newb to horns. Been thinking about the Hornblasters Outlaw 228. Anyone have this kit? Will be going in a little Yaris hatchback. Tired of everyone trying to push me out of their way. Lol. I know everyone recommends the shockers to begin with but I don’t have that much. Will get some next year probably. So which one outlaws, rockers, bandit, or jackass? Just looking to be loud for now.

The Rocker kit would be the loudest. It’s 2 of the same horns from the shocker kit.
Welcome.

Edit link:
This guy disconnected 2 of his shocker horns & this video is basically what the Rocker sounds like.

That’s the 2 smaller horns right? If I get this then later on could I buy the other 2pitbull horns to make it a shocker?

Yeah the kit has the B3 and B4 horns (smallest)
That video is the biggest 2 - but gives you an idea how loud it would be.

Someone should convince Hornblasters to change the Rocker kit so that it contains the 2 biggest horns, not the 2 smallest ones. Or both options should be available.

Both.

Never hurts to ask!

Welcome to the forum. Yeah, Hornblaster will tell you if the horns can mixed.

I have had great sucess with the hornblasters kits- this is after I purchasded a Kleinn kit that the tank leaked and the compressor lasted for only two days, steer clear of Kleinn.

Thanks because I was considering kleinn only because I can buy one locally. I will be ordering the rocker kit this afternoon. Any tips on hooking it up? I have the basic knowledge, just wondering if there is an easy way. Will zip ties hold it securely? I will have limited space.

I read somewhere on this forum that someone used zip ties to “mount” their horns to their vehicle. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend it, but meh.

Heavy duty zip ties will work I suppose. The HB horns are light.

Well I got lucky and found a deal I hope. Gonna pay $275 for a Shocker Classic 248vx complete kit. Used but still I think its a good deal. Might have to get a little more air line and that’s it. Should be in by the end of the week.

I think it might be a Shocker Classic S4 kit instead. He said it was the $549.99 kit.

I used zip ties on mine, because I have them tucked inside my rear bumper. Mounting with screws and brackets would have been almost impossible. I went to Lowes in the electrical section, and bought the biggest zip ties they had. I believe they were 36" long and cost almost $.50 a piece. I used 2-3 for each horn. Trust me, they are not going anywhere. I mounted them like that on my last car with over 10,000 miles and not a single issue. So far they have been on my new car for 2,000 miles as well.

Yeah I used zipties yesterday to install my shockers. I went to autozone and picked up a 100 pack of 14" zipties and they are holding good. I used plenty since I had them to spare.
