Best horn kit i can get for $450-$600

hey guys newbi here and i have about 450-600 to spend on a horn kit and i want to make sure i make right choice… its going on a 06 crew cab chevy so space is not a problem i just want stupid loud and good train sound or as close as i can get without spending $1500… iv noticed about 98% of ppl go with the shocker 240 or 540 is that what i need or is there a better option?

Well the shockers are plastic. but if you can get a hold of about 400$ more dollars you can get this kit

trust me, this is stupid loud with the K3’s

The Shockers with the half inch line is your best bet for that price range.

what about airhornsoftexas 46115 HD Train Horn Kit are they any good, just courious about the metal horns vs the plastic ones?

I would gather a guess that those suck. I seem to only be able to find 1 vid of those horns on youtube and it’s only 7 seconds long with what looks like fake comments. That is a chrome horn. I guess that means that it is metal, the horn being made of chromium? Anyway, I’ve heard all the chrome ones aren’t as loud for some reason

Ya iv found a few other videos under untied pacific train horns but not much out there on them… So should I get the shocker 240 or 540?

I’m pretty sure the only difference between the 240 and the 540kit is a 2 gallon versus a 5 gallon tank. I’d go for the 540 kit so you will get more honk time, but then you’ll have to wait a while longer for the compressor to recharge the tank.

Welcome to the forum. For overall information these guys are great. Hornblasters has very good deals and excellent customer service.

I have the 46115 with a 1/2" line and valve and they are very impressive. They sound more authentic than the shockers and are almost as loud - there’s a very small difference.
