Bigger Air Lines??

I was wondering how I go about running a bigger air line from my horns to the compressor. Currently I only have a 4mm air line and it sucks. I am just not getting the sound out of them that I would like.

Any help would be nice.

Welcome to the forums.

It’s just a matter of bigger airline, different fittings, and maybe a bigger valve.
If you have Shockers, Hornblasters has an upgrade kit.
If not, what horn, valve, and tank do you have?

It is made by Viking Horns. Model Number V103C-5/307. I bought it off ebay. Item number 140601259787

My horns are made by Viking. I bought them off ebay. Item number 140601259787

It’s hard to say if bigger airlines would help or not. A lot of the guys around here that started with inexpensive ebay horns upgrade to Shockers. Whole different ballgame…

But if you really want to try bigger lines, you might as well do 1/2" DOT tubing and possibly get a 1/2" valve. Then see what size threads are on the tank and horn and buy the appropriate PTC fittings.

Welcome to the forum. You mentioned air line from the compressor to the horns. Do you have a tank? The size of air line is more important from the tank to the horns than the compressor to the tank.

Good eye Dan, I didn’t catch that.
The ebay item does show a tank though…

I upgraded all my line to 1/2" and it made a huge difference…went with the 1/2" valve as well…
