Greetings from another Ozzie horn enthusiast folks. Just got my set of Shocker 240’s from the good folks at Hornblasters and will be embarking on an install for a Grand Vitara over the coming week. Just thought I’d say hello before posting with the million & one questions that are sure to follow.
Have a few things to nut out before throwing the spanners at this project just yet, but I’m itching to pull the trigger on those horns. The only similar sounds you hear around these parts come from actual trains so I’m sure the locals won’t know what hit 'em!
After scaring the b’geezus out of the wife and the neighbours with a quick bench test yesterday and looking at my maniacal grin afterwards, she’s been walking around with a disapproving shake of the head ever since… I’ve obviously made the right decision :).
Just wait until SHE pulls the trigger on them. I did just that with my wife, and she’s gotten more scares than I have …
She took my truck in for some service at the dealer and needed to stop by the grocery store on the way home. She’s waiting for a spot to park and some jerk swoops in and steals it as the guy she was waiting for was leaving.
She waits until he leaves his car and locks the door … then nails him with a 150 psi blow from the K3LA. She said he jumped so high he could have walked on the hood of his car.
So give her time my friend … she’ll come to the dark side.

Cheers for the greetings folks. Well… I’m happy to tell that I’ve completed the install on the weekend. No real complications, except some minor issues in finding suitable mounting postions and routing of the air lines. I’ll post some pics and a writeup over in the “Your Ride” forum.
Gave it a quick burst to test in the garage and I swear I could count the number of valleys between my place and the horizon by the echos bouncing around the place.
Holy cow I had no idea how loud these things truly are. It’s just so over the top and deliciously stupid I still can’t get the grin off my face
