Bought a box at an estate sale, came with this

A couple of weeks ago I went to an estate sale and bought a couple boxes full of random items. One of the boxes contained an old horn of some type that I found to be neat looking. I didn’t know what the heck it was, I have never seen anything like it before. So I hopped online and did a bit of research and found out that it was a train horn. I thought that was pretty darn cool. I dont really know anything about the horn except that it looks like it has been sitting in a basement for a number of years.

I was hoping someone here could provide me with some information on what I got :slight_smile:

Its a Nathan airchime P series #4 bell its found on P5’s and P3’s

Its an old cast p bell… It says “Pat. Pending” which is the giveaway. New cast bells say “Pat. Pend.”
