His frame is twisted since they hit him in the left corner, its probably going to be totaled from insurance since it isnt worth “alot”.
From the next pic you can kind of see that when thye hit him the box went up and hit the cab and screwed it up bad, when he was driving it to the shop the left side was VERY low so frame is bad.
Same thing I said, but sadly the frame is bent. The left side of the bed is 1/2 inch from cab and other side is about 2 inches from cab. We are taking it to a body shop and see what they do.
From your pics, it looks like the bed flex and hit the cab, normal for an impact. I doubt the frame is bent, the bumper looked fine and the bolts holding the bed on the framr aren’t strong enough to bend it, not even a Chevy. The gate is toast, and possibly the bed. I wouldn’t settle for anything less than a new bed and gate. If the bumper has one flaw in it, get it replaced too. Even if the bumper is fine, get all new plastics. check the alignment on the doors and the hood also. Also, make sure his back, neck or any part of his body is not injured, even in the slightest degree, that poop can come back to bite you in the end, and can mean the dif between $0.00 and $50,000.00. PI lawyer is your best bet though.

Oh, and I would have a rental dropped at my house by 8 AM tomorrow if I was him. There fault, not his is causing him a major inconvienience, although his age may be a factor.
So the insurance company is not totaling it, they are paying the value of it, like 3300 or something, the frame is bent, 2 auto repair places confirmed it.
