Buying a kit, need a little help please.

I have a 2009 Lancer GTS. I currently have a 3 12" sub box, but will be selling the box and one sub and get 2 individual boxes. I’m thinking this will leave me enough room to have the air tank installed.

My budget with the complete horn kit is about $550 give or take a few bucks. I know videos can’t really do these justice, but I don’t want to drop that money and be disappointed when testing them out. I’m not looking for an extremely high pitch sound, or an extremely low, just somewhere in the middle.

Conductor’s Special Model 240 Train Horn Kit

Shocker Classic 248VX Train Horn Kit

Those are the two I’m looking at now. Any opinions or decent quality videos/sound clips? If you think I’m going to either have problems fitting the tank, or will have even more space to be able to get a 5 gallon tank, please let me know.

Thanks

The main difference from looking at the kits is the compressor and both are great choices, the difference is the psi. One is 150psi and the other is 200psi. also the compressor is mounted on the 248vx tank. That may save you on space if it is a major concern.

This video is from when I had it at 150psi

I dont have a video of my new compressor at 200psi in the same spot, but here it is on the street

Thank you for those videos, I’m liking the sound of it. From what I read, higher PSI will = louder. So the one kit should be louder and more of a space saver, seems like my best choice so far.

About how long of a blast could I expect?
