petcock, drain cock, drain fitting - whatever you want to call it.
I just got my fitting kit from HB and the draincock doesn’t look right.
There’s no hole on the outside of this thing. To me it just looks like a plug.
At the risk of sounding stupid - Am I missing something here?

What do you think? Give em a call?
Try to turn it and see what happens, you might need to put it in a vise though because they are super tight when you first get them. See the little flat circle on the top/inside that part lifts up.

It looks like one piece. I left the damn thing at work.
I debated even asking the question…LOL
Well, thanks!

it might be reversed where you tighten the drain to let the air out…
I thought is was one piece at first too. Just twist it to the right and it will open up.

Welcome to the world of fittings!
Sad part is I broke it in the process…lol
Oh well, I’ll order 1 up with my regulator from McMaster Carr.

Dammit…
Good that you’re using one at least. I know plenty who don’t.
Along with a quality safety release valve, this is a must=have for any decent pneumatic system.
Yeah, it was a fitting kit from HB - which came with most everything.
I spec’d a 235 psi pressure relief 'cause the tank will be 200.
So, you broke your petcock? Ouch…
Yeah, that smarts…lol
Fail.
