I can’t help you with those but when you want a compressor that’s 4 to 6 times faster and lasts 4 to 6 times longer than those little ones, look at the XD3000. Yes it’s expensive but you get what you pay for.
Mate Splash out on a Viair…PM me for details…in fact you have PM
In fact you dont have PM…It said I could not send PM’s to you???
cheers danh but i could buy another rangerover for the price of one of them compressors lol
yeah pete had a good read and i think the viair is the one to go for, where you get yours from dude?
i got stung big time for import tax on the horns so fcuk buying a compressor from us haha
just sorted my settings out so pm should work now m8
Nah not yet mate, they have have a few probs with Spammers on the site, so they have now said newbies cannot PM and it would appear cannot be PM’d until your post count is up to 30 posts.
He lowered the requirement to 10 posts…
…so what kind of horns? what kind of ride? lol
i should be up on 10 soon anyways.
i got the shocker horns with the 1/2" connections…i think lol
putting them on a custom rangerover im building
im new to all this horn malarky and still aint got a compressor?..but i have got a 5 gallon tank ready to airbrush .
still aint decided on where to fit the horns either?? facing front…facing sideways or facing down??
where do most people fit shockers?
ive been reading all about this duty cycle stuff and might just go for the viair just for reliability.
this is my rangerover that the shockers are going on.
so far put 2009 rangerover sport headlights, sport grill, sport vents, custom l322/p38/sierra cosworth front bumper(nearly finished), custom citroen berlingo led afterburner rear leds, smoothed tailgate, 22" wheels(taken off when it snowed bad cos my mrs is a useless driver lol)
limo black windows, kenwood 7" touchscreen dvd, flip out screen in centre console so my daughter can watch films,2x alpine v12 amps,12" infinity sub+ kicker components.
got some crazy wide arches ready to fit now and doing some other trick bits and bobs like custom lexus/rangerover back bumper, white leather retrim inside my headlights with custom led angel eyes to sort out then it should be looking quite funky
I LIKE CUSTOM ha ha.
heres what i did to my last car cos i was bored…

that should take me up to 10 posts
Hopefully Stinkpete has a suggestion for getting a compressor in the UK so you don’t get dinged with an import tax.
You mentioned Viair and it’s a good choice. Within their product line there are high duty cycle & low duty cycle compressors. It’s not a sign of quality, but some are meant to be used differently.
So do you know what pressure you want to run the shockers at? 150, 175, 200?
hi ear2ear , thanks for that .
yeah it looks as if its gonna be a viair …but which one do i go for?
gonna be running them at 150psi to start then who knows later on
what are they like at 175 +200psi?? dont they break sooner or something?
as i said im new to all this stuff lol
If you want the abilty to run 200 psi later, and 100% duty cycle look at the 480C.

Stinkypete can tell you how good they are.
2 ways you can run 150psi to the horns. Either use a 150psi pressure switch or use a 200 psi pressure switch along with a pressure regulator. Then later you would change the pressure switch or just turn up the regulator.
It would be cool to see some pics of the airbrush work when it’s done.
cheers dude that sounds like a plan to me. alot easier than buying 2 pressure switches.
i sent email to matt savage and he offered me a good deal on 380c or 400c
Read the specs on those carefully.
2 different fill rates, 2 different pressure ratings, 2 different duty cycles…
