Compressor in a battery box -- question??

Has anyone installed their compressor(s) in a plastic battery box? It is a great idea to keep them clean and out of the elements.
However, does it create a problem for the compressor – any heat buildup?
Your help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

I would be scared of heat in something that small. Could you vent the box & add a fan?

Vent the box at the bottom of one side and top of the other this will create cross flow and heat will rise out the top cause cool air to enter through the bottom.

Great idea. Thanks. My old truck was a 2001 7.3. Probably the best diesel ford every made.

Yep the 7.3 is a strong truck that just wont die. We own 2 7.3L’s, 2 6.0’s, and a 6.4 and none of them cam beat the 7.3. Our 6.4 can barely hang with my 7.3 but also it has been slightly modified:D
