Compressor on but not pumping?

I’ve had my setup for about 4 years now without any major issues. A couple of weeks ago, the regulator stopped working, so I replaced it. Everything was working fine until now, the compressor (Viair 280 C) would not turn off and there was barely any pressure in the tank. I turned on the compressor and disconnected the braided hose from the tank and noticed hardly any air pressure coming out. Is it time to buy a new compressor?

As I examined the hose, I noticed it was caked up inside. While I was cleaning it up, I noticed a spring on one side (one way valve?). I reversed the hose and reconnected it to the tank and it quickly developed enough pressure for the horns to blow. I didn’t leave it on to long however. Do I just need to replace the braided hose?

Make sure your Check Valve is not going out or is on too tight.

Not sure what you mean… Should I just replace it?

There should be an arrow on the check valve indicating the flow direction.
If you’re still having the problem and it’s installed correctly, just get a new leader hose with check valve.

I think thats the route I’m taking… thanks.
