Compressor problem

I bought my 2006 Toyota Tacoma with a horn kit on it. The horn worked really well up until about a week ago. I believe my problem is with the compressor or something in that area. The tank will not fill up with air. When I press the button I can still hear the click trying to release air. I believe there is around 40lbs of air in the tank, but I am unsure of why it isn’t filling up.

Please feel free to drop any suggestions!

Thanks a lot in advance,
Casey

What kit do you have? also what compressor?

I am unsure of what kit it is, but it consists of 3 horns that are of of some type of metal. the compressor says it’s an AC 200 compressor. 150 max psi. Does that help?

So I just figured out the problem… I had replaced some blown fuses and apparently it turned around and blew them immediately before it ever even kicked in. I just checked them again and it had another blown one… I replaced it and it works like a charm!

Thanks again!

honking fuses lol

hahaha, hey so let me ask you this… is it possible to just replace the actual horns in my setup with different ones to get a deeper, more consistent sound? These seem to varry from loud, scary and sometimes deep to weak, squeeky piss me off ones. Is there something I can tune to let more air in for a deeper / louder sound?

ok here if you want a great horn that sounds loud and want to scare the crap out of everyone get some shockers from hornblasters http://www.hornblasters.com/products/details.php?i=shocker-4-train-horn … now if you want a REAL TRAIN HORN get some nathan airchime k3la and you will scare the crap out of everyone around you and not around you too! the shockers are cheaper than a nathan airchime and sounds awesome and loud

Agreed with wot Tri4ubb said!!! Shockers are the way forward… incredible sounding horns… or go the whole honk and get a K3!!!

Welcome to the forum btw!

the shockers are great but if you want a superior train horn i recommend a nathan airchime if your willin to spend the money. I have personaly honked the triple horns and a shocker beside a nathan and if you want a real train horn go with a nathan but shockers are still a great horn they sound pretty good.
