Compressor Problem

I just got my horns installed yesterday, and the problem i have is that when i ran out of air yesterday, the compressor would not kick on. This morning however, i cranked my truck and the compressor kicked on. I ran the air out of it again this afternoon, and it would not kick back on.

I called the company that installed it and they said that it could be a bad relay(?) If i got the Kit brand new, should the relay be good, (shady installation?)

Any tips that i can do myself would be much appreciated.

You need to double check all the wiring. Then you need to see where the voltage stops when you run out of air and the compressor doesn’t kick back on.

could be a bad ground for the compressor… that was my problem when the compressor would kick on when it wanted

It could be a bad relay or pressure switch. Some things may have unknown defects that don’t show up until later. Just hope that they occur within the warranty period.
