Compressor Toggle question....

Alright real quick, I have my compressor already connected to my ingnition which works fine. However, there are already times when I want to manually turn the compressor off…I am going to use the toggle switch that came from my HornAir 540 kit from HornBlasters…heres my question:

Do I need to put a fuse between the switch and where my connector is on my ignition? I already used both fuse connectors that came with my kit for the pressure swtich and my button to release the air.

I like to put the fuse as close to the positive source as reasonably possible…that means before any switches or components.

so put a fuse close to where i connected to my ignition wire?

Yes, that is the safest.
Then if there’s ever a short anywhere along the wire run, it’s protected.
