compressor

What is the best viair compressor for a 12 gallon air tank with a 110-145 psi pressure switch?

Each compressor can only handle up to 5 gallons.

Unless you get an engine driven compressor or an Oasis, you need 1 compressor for every 5 gallons, or in your case 3 compressors.

So if i had to get a duel set up which one would be the best and quickest? I would like to stay around the $300 range.

Im leaning toward the dual 400c set up. Do you guys think that this will work alright? I’ve just been dealing with this little 280c compressor on my 12 gallon tank and it sucks, i just want some new ones. So if any one wants a 280c compressor let me know. Ill let it go for cheap.

Not sure man. I’m in the same boat as you are. I currently have 1 400C compressor and want to know what my 2nd compressor should be because I plan on adding over 5 gallons to my system.

dual 400c’s will do perfect. if not dual compressors, 400c will be the best single compressor you can do just because of the flowrate it’ll actually fill it up without taking foreverrrrrr.

Alright thanks for the help. Im just going to buy one 400c and see how it does and if it isn’t enough i’ll get a second one. Thanks again.

I have 1 400C on a 5 gallon tank and I have to wait for the compressor sometimes. But I honk alot:D
I would reccomend atleast 2 compressors.

How fast does 2 400C’s fill up 5-7 gallons of air?

Well i’ve been doing some more research and i’m ganna go with the dual set up if any. I’m ganna sleep on it and probably buy them tomorow. Ill let y’all know when i get them and how they do.

I’ve seen flow data on here somewhere. If you can’t find it, go to Viair.com and look at the specs.

Might as well keep the 280C and add the dual pack since you have 12 gallons.
Don’t ya think?

Well i just bought the dual 400c set up. I’ll let y’all know how they do.

Does anyone have 3 compressors? I wonder how fast that would be on 5-8 gallons of air…

With a 110-145 pressure switch, wouldn’t the dual 480’s or the 444’s fill up the 12 gallons faster than the dual 400’s? I have the same tank and plan on runnin the 110-145 switch also. Lemme know how they do. Here is a link with a refill calculator that I used to figure my calculations. http://www.landisusa.com/calculator.html

Just 1 XD3000 can fill 8 gallons from 0 to 150 PSI in less than 1.5 minutes, just in case you want really fast recovery times.

Well i hooked them up tonight and all i can say is they’re bad a$$. I dont have to wait at all from 110 to 145 psi and it only takes about 10 minutues to fill it up from 0 to 145 psi. I would recomend this setup to anyone. Thanks for the help.

Oh and $martguy_RS5T that calculator is pretty acurate. I did the calculation for the 400c’s and its what and what.

Whats what and what???

10 min seems kinda long from 0 to 145…
I just ordered the 444c dual pack so hopefully I’ll be honkin’ before long.
