Conductors Special Shocker 240's

WOW!!! Finshed about noon today with my Shocker 240’s and they are BAD@$$. If I figure out how to download the pictures I will. I ended up putting my horns right behind my grill and mounted my compressor and tank inside a toolbox in the back of my truck. I put a push button on the front of my console that looks pretty cool. Anyways I will try to get some pictures on here ASAP. BTW, I downloaded a picture of my truck, can people see it?? I want to thank everyone that gave me advice!! You guys are great.

That’s great news! Hope you get the pics figured out. You’ll have to upload them to somewhere like photobucket.

We want Pics!!! We want pics!!!

Figure out how to post the pictures yet:D

I don’t know how and really just gave up. I downloaded photobucket and when it asked me my URL I was lost. Why is so hard to download pictures?? Anyways I love my horns. I already have a couple of funny stories. Anyways, is there a simplier way of downloading pictures?? For those that do have their pictures on Hornblasters, will they contact you or something. I sent mine in and haven’t got a response yet?? I REALLY want to post pictures.

As i said in my pm response back to you… Photobucket is the easiest way…

You do not need to download photobucket. Simply create an acct, (username / pass)
Then upload pictures from your computer to photobucket using the button that says “Upload now”
If the pictures are on a memory card, or harddrive, you will need to direct the website to the location where they are, and click the picture u want to upload.
Once you have uploaded the pictures, click on the link that generates the url code you need for posting on a forum.

It really is simple …

Another way even easier if you didnt want to create an acct,

http://www.imagevenue.com/

You can upload right to there and it will host your pics for you.

If those 2 dont work let me know and i will give you an email address and you can send them to me and i will post them for you.

Ok, I got the photos at photobucket. Know It shows places that I can share them for example, facebook, Twitter, etc. Give me the link or the info I need. Give me an e-mail an I will send them. On phototbucket they aren’t even in order. Thanks for the help!!

This is where the pictures are at. Now if I can just get them to this site. http://s1177.photobucket.com/albums/x357/stoneylm1998/ Thanks. Can anyone see them now?? I can’t believe this is that difficult.

Awesome yes I can see them on photobucket - you’re almost there.
Now all you have to do is copy the “IMG code” and paste into your post here.
Here is one of your truck. You can quote my post to see what the code looks like.

Not difficult at all… You got it!
Look at each of your pics in that link… in has an IMG code… copy that code and paste it in here.
That code makes the pics come up jsut like e2e did with your truck pic.

My pictures are huge and on top of each other. How do I start from scratch? I want to delete the ones I just put on.
So I open up 2 different tabs and copy the Image code and paste it on my POST. I had 7 different pictures.

You got it. Yeah a few of them are pretty big but not terrible. I usually reduce mine before I upload them, but I think photobucket can do it too.

I edited your post. All I did was put an empty line between the links. You had all the links smashed together and therefore the pics went across the screen. Just hit return once or twice after you paste each link.

Anyway, your install looks good. They fit nice behind the grill for sure. Is the tank/compressor in a toolbox?

wahoo you got the pics up and working!

Install looks good. Only thing i would do is change that piece of rusty steel to a piece of aluminum… I had my shockers originally mounted on a piece of aluminum going across for one of my installs.

Here is what i did… They are mounted on the frame now and my k3la is up front

Thanks for the extra help Ear2Ear and 06Z71. Yes I did mount them in a toolbox. the bottowm of the toolbox had grooves in it already so the screws are between the grooves. I’m already wanting to upgrade to the 5 gallon tank. Haha and maybe that zenith digital gauge to run inside me truck. I picked up my kids the other day at the sitters and she had a flat tire so the next day I walked down to the farmstore and got me a nipple, a 1/4 T, an elbow, and the female end of the air connector so that I can run air tools, air tires up and blow out my truck if needed. Again I appreciate you guys help!!!

No prob.
Trust me the upgrades wont stop there… I started off with a 3 gallon tank, then switched to a 5 gallon tank… then bought another 5 gallon tank… lol. Now i just need another compressor.

BTW- what kinda tires are you running? The look like MT’s.?

I might need tires before this winter.

Ya, I got the Pro Comp Mud X-Treme’s also will I get to use both tanks together?? the 2.5 gal and the 5 gal together?? Thanks again for your input!

How long have u had the tires? How are they wearing on a fullsize truck? wondering what kind of mileage id get with a mud tire…

As for the compressor… As per viairs warranty, they only rate 1 compressor per 5gal tank. But i have a viair 380c which is meant for up to 200psi and 100% duty… I only run it with a 150 psi pressure switch tho. So the extra bit that it runs to built up twice the volume is similair if it had to work to get to 200psi. Ive been running it like this for a couple years and have no issues. Excellent quality.

Most likely u have a fast fill compressor which is not rated at a high duty rating. Thats the common of what comes with smaller kits.

I can’t say enough about my tires. I put them on my truck with 31,500 miles and now I have 65,600 and tires still look great. As for the compressor, I have the Heavy Duty 400C Viair and a 2.5 gallon tank. So you think that I could plumb these together?? Anyways I know the tires are high but well worth it. I work at a Farmers CO-OP and the tire guy is amazed with how many miles I have on them. His 2 sets to my 1 and he needs a 3rd. Also the Nitto Mud Grapplers are good too.

Are your tires 265’s? or 285’s?
I’d like to upgrade to a 285 next but im thinking it may involve trimming.

As for if you can add a 5 gal tank to your 2.5 … Thats a gamble imo.

The compressor you have is considered a fast fill compressor.

Product Notes

This air compressor is designed to handle up to a 5 gallon air tank. Using this compressor with a larger tank, pressure over 150 PSI, or without a pressure switch not only voids your warranty but may reduce the lifespan of your compressor.

I do have 2-5 gal tanks on my one compressor , but my 380c is rated @ 200psi, and i’m only running it to 150psi. Also the 380c is 100% duty rated… yours is 33% .
This dosent mean u have a bad compressor tho. Yours will fill faster than mine. Which would be nice to be able to regain quicker.

Last year i was in a parade and my compressor barely shut off as i blew the horn so many times. I wish i had a fast fill there.
