so a buddy got some new s4 horns and i have his old ones and the only thing that is different is, he has 1/2" line to his valve and a 1/2" valve and his horns are almost double as loud as mine. is that all i need or is there something wrong with my system 
If you have the smaller airline & valve, all you need is the Shocker 1/2" upgrade kit.

It makes a big difference. They are being starved with the smaller airline & valve.
If you read the page on the upgrade kit it says: (We were surprised too!)
