Really it’s whichever way you want. On a vehicle it doesn’t much matter. Some people say mounting them all down makes it louder around the vehicle due to the sound hitting the road and bouncing out in all directions.

My K3 faces down and I’m heard a mile and a half out … so yeah, no matter what you’ll be heard.

mine’s parallel the rear axle. two to the left and two to the right. people way in front still jump when I honk.
