distance between horns and tank?

I am new to this forum and i have purchased a set of HB conductor horns and am wondering if mounting the compressor and tank in the tool box of my truck and mounting the horns under the front bumper of my dodge mega cab, is this to far to run horns between the tank and comp.?

Welcome to the forums.
Just keep the valve close to the horns and they’ll be more instant on & off.

Thanks for the info. That shouldnt be a problem

Welcome to the forum. ear2ear is right, distance from valve to horn is more important.

I have a 47ft run from the valve to the horns.

Firing @200PSI it is for sure only a split-second delay and I actually like that it is not instant.

But again, my horns are NOT mounted on a car or truck, so I dont need the instant on for safety reasons.

Thanks for the replies. If 47’ still works good then 6’ should be good.

6 feet is nothing

that horn will sound faster than you can flick a booger off your finger!!!

hahahahahahaa

^ I have mine split up 2 in the front, 2 in the back of the accord, and dont notice a difference between them sounding at separate times…
