which way the horns are facing?
i plan on having my k3la installed this weekend but it’ll have to be facing down because that’s pretty much the only way it will fit. I’m wondering if this would effect the sound, or maybe the echo would be less…

some claim having it point downwards, will make the horn sound louder because the ground will “shatter” it into all directions

but mine point somewhat forward, and well… they are to be heard from all around

in fact some jogger dude today, was looking backwards to see where the loud noise came from … well sure i was 100 meter in front of him when I honked him

hmmm ive never heard of this shatter effect
i thought it might’ve been quieter tho from facing down.

edit: i just realized you have a small car, jelle(if ur avatar pic is the car with the horns). im just curious if you had to cut the car and installed them in the back/trunk area cuz thats where mines gonna have to go

i have not cut anything… the trunk is topped off, with a sub , 2 amps, and the air tank but

the 4 shockers i have can be mounted anywhere seperate, with tie wraps… was gladly surprised to see all 4 would fit in my front bumper cavity…

Up in the open would be loudest but not many people want to try this. I put my horns in the bed of my brother’s truck under a bed cover. Then when we honk them, we open the tailgate and leave the bed cover down. It echoes ALOT farther than other people’s horns that I know.

(I know this doesn’t really help you lol)

With a K3, you can face them any way you want. I would rather face mine either down or back. They’re loud enough to where it will scare someone even if you have them facing up lol

I love that fact that my car is so small. People will be looking for a lifted truck or semi. I think thats the funniest part sometimes -when ppl look around for a truck-. I’ve rarely been caught by ppl. Looks like we share that advantage!
