dual 480 versus dual 450

Keep fixing it till its broken.

Exactly, if it aint broke, why fix it?

kinda off topicā€¦
but i have the dual 480cc, and theyā€™re great i must say. but is there a 145/175 pressure switch available for them?
i was lookn at this one off the site: http://www.hornblasters.com/products/details.php?i=145-175-psi-american-pressure-swtich
but i dunno if it would workā€¦
i have this one right now: http://www.hornblasters.com/products/details.php?i=viair-110-145-pressure-switch

That pressure switch will work with the 480ā€™s.

dualā€¦?

otherwise travis has been informing me about using regulatorsā€¦ sounds interesting

Regulator is for air flow out to the horns, pressure switch is to turn the compressors on and off.

1 pressure switch, 2 relays. Not to be confused with 2 girls 1 cup.

Any pressure switch will work on 480ā€™s since they are 200 psi compressorā€™s.

All you need to do is replace the switch you have now with the 175 psi one.

The benefit of a regulator is that you store air in the tank at 200 psi but limit the pressure to the horns. This means that you go longer between tank fills. The downside is that it is harder on the compressors to have to fill to 200 psi. I run dual 480cā€™s too and I am careful not to run them much on really hot days.

I beat my 480ā€™s. They never get a break. If Im gonna sell them I wanna beat a few to see how they really last. I have a 480 that runs about 5 hours a day at 15 volts. 175 to 200 psi. Inside a room in my house. No ventilation. It runs my powder coating business with a 5 gallon tank. Been going good for a year now.

Mine are inside my toolbox on my truck with no ventilation. They havenā€™t run 5 hours total since I got them.

LOLā€¦ my dual 400cā€™s havenā€™t seen 5 hours yet eitherā€¦

Where do you have the speaker for your PA installed?

Under the passanger floor boardā€¦

Did you know that those little horn speakers will fit inside the fender vents on our trucks?

These compressors are built to take the abuse, to what extent I will find out.
