I got an e-mail from my wife that she sent me last night (it’s afternoon here in Iraq). I had my horns installed just under a week and the local police were appaprently looking for me, and thankfully I’ve been back in the sandbox when the officer stopped by the house. I guess I nailed it while driving by his house. Big oops!!
I have a neighbor thats a real jerk (young kid that I have already 2 police reports filed against) that turned me into both the local department and our HOA. I woke his lazy good for nothing wife up from her mid-day nap testing the horns so this is their way of “getting back” at me. Whatever.
The officer stopped by the house and asked about the horns. He thought the idea was cool even though I did buzz his house. He asked her if they were on “that truck”, motioning towards her truck as it was parked in the driveway and she says “Yup, sure are. Wanna hear them?”. He says no because it would be disturbing the peace, and I’m glad he didn’t because they’re on my truck not hers … LOL!
She’s been driving around town in her truck and the most of the local cops have been following her, thinking the horns are on her truck and waiting for her to honk them and pull her over for it.
I can’t wait till next year to drop the K5LA on those stinking neighbors.
Cops really need to find something better to do with their time. Im not saying we don’t need them, or that they are all bad, but all they ever seem to do is give tickets; either for noise or just camping out for speeders but when something really goes down, such as a robbery or burglary they don’t do anything. For instance, right down the road at my house there is always a cop waiting for speeders or just killing time (dead serious probably 5 nights a week), but when someone broke into my house 2 months ago they just dusted for finger prints and didnt seem to care… I know its easier to give tickets than it is to fight harder criminals (ie: drug dealers, burglars, etc) but its their job and need to focus on other things than just trying to catch speeders or people honking thier horns…
I can see your point. My dad is a cop, and he says it is alot easier to wait for speeders than wait for a burglary. Basicly, you can’t just anticipate a robbery, or a rape ect. Alot easier to anticipate a speeder. And most of the robberies have to be dispatched anyway. If cops sat around waiting for somthing big to happen, then they wouldn’t be doing their job. Then again, the cops get really cheap when you get to bigger cities.
