factory horn button

Yeah but their were quite a few wires going to my steering wheel. I got it figured out now tho

So it turns out I had two stock horns under my hood. I got another electrican buddy to check it out. He wired it up and now my stock horn doesn’t work and my 3-way switch may be faulty. Whatever, its all good. I was trying to wire it up yesterday after I took a lortab for my wisdom teeth pain. I was kinda messed up. Oh well. I couldn’t think and was just getting pissed lol.

I also have two stock horns under the hood. Both are connected to the same source wiring so they always fire at the same time. All you have to do is tap into the +12V DC wire going to one of those horns and run a single wire from the tap down to your train horn solenoid. The connect the other wire from your train horn solenoid to a toggle switch and the other leg of the toggle switch to ground. Then the factory horns always sound no matter what, and when you flip the toggle switch you can turn the train horn on or off. It is definitely much harder to find the right horn wires inside of your steering column or dash which is why I tapped mine right at the horn, and then you only have to run a single wire from the horn solenoid inside the cab to the toggle switch. Easiest install and works great.

i mean… its not all that hard… lol
you cut the hot wire at the horn… put the power side of the wire and put it to the center prong on the switch.
then run a wire from one side of the switch to the other part of the cut horn.
then run a wire from the other side to the solonoid… its easy… not much to mess up
lol

Well I somehow messed it up. But…

I finally got it working!!! It looks clean too. I’ll post up pics/vid soon.

i didnt feel like reading all the posts so sorry if someone already posted this but you can add a tripple pull switch in there

it looks like a normal switch but has 6 places for wires to attach and 3 postions middle being off

you can select which horn power would run to on it

the middle to posts are for ground
the 2 posts on the far end are for power in and then the line running to whicever horn you want to select…the power in line would be the wire coming for your steering wheel which supplies power when you push on it

hope that makes sense
