Filter element mount on compressor?

Will it harm the filter element to be directly mounted on the compressor?

My compressors came with snorkel tubing and fittings to remove the filter element from the compressor?

I have mine mounted directly it screwed right on, i think you can use the snorkel if you want but dont need to. unless you go in water and stuff

Mount it directly to the compressor unless the comps will be in a an area prone to getting wet. That’s what the snorkel kit is for - locating the filter in a dry area.

Thank-you guys. I was confused when I opened them. Just screwed them on. I will be installing everything on my truck next week by thursday hopefully. If everything comes.
