Finally Found Out Why My Compressor Kept Turning On!

The leak finally got bad enough where I can hear very clearly where it was coming from after weeks of checking seals, threads, and fittings!

It’s the damn pressure switch! I circled exactly where the air was coming out of.

I don’t know if I should try to seal it back up myself or buy a new one for a WHOPPING $20!

Holy poop, just found out shipping is another $10!!!

You think I should just solder it? Better ask for military discount on this little thing.

I’d get a new one. Leaks are just too frustrating.
BTW… looks like your switch has had some serious iron man action applied to it. Those things should just hand tighten. Use a thread sealant or a good amount of tape on the next one. Don’t take a wrench to it because the body of the switch is just too flimsy.

Yeah I know, I couldn’t get the damn thing off the tank by hand. The cap covering the threads feels like soft aluminum and I was already babying the wrench. I’m thinking about drenching the leak with super duper gorilla glue and I also sent them an email about this.
