First System and First Question

So I dropped some small change on my first system. Got it installed and thanks to Permatex 54540, it is pretty much leak-less (<1-2 psi per 48 hours). Its a 3 chime, 440c w/ 2.5G, 110-150 and the crappy 1/4" tubing. My question is this. Will running 1/2" OD tubing to the horns (through a larger solenoid obviously) make this system any louder and if so, how much? Are we talking big difference or marginal?

Volume is more importanat to air horns than pressure so I think going 1/2" all the way will help, especially if horns are Nathans or Leslies.

Thanks Dan. I just got off the phone with HB and upgraded to the Shocker XL kit, 5 gallon tank and 1/2" lines.

You should be very happy with that setup, at least until you get the urge and upgrade to Nathans…LOL
