Found some horns

I found some horns online and wanted to know the difference between the P3 and the P5. I know its phyiscally larger than the K3LA that I want, but what about amount of air needed to sound right, comparing tones to each other and the K3LA, etc…

Yeah I’m still learning but at least I’m asking the right folks.

Thanks.

Kris

Actually a P3 is smaller than a K3… kinda. It weighs less and takes up less room width-wise. May be a little taller. Honestly, a P horn sounds best at low pressures… I’ve heard them sound perfect on as low as 50 PSI. I would try to stick around 130 PSI if that’s possible. A P3 and a K3 sound alot different. It may be hard for some people to tell the difference but it’s easy to me. A P3 has that brassy type sound to it. I actually prefer the P3 sound over the K3 as they’re getting a little less frequent on the rails. People say P horns aren’t as loud but it’s no quieter to me. I think it’s because a K3 plays a higher note and sounds louder up close. Hope this helps and sorry for rambling lol

LOL, not rambling at all … thanks for the info!
