Hi, i bought the shocker kit 228vx about a few mouth ago, it used to work fine untill the fuse to the compressor blown.
Im using 20A fuse since i bought it, it blow off, changed it, and right when i turn on the compressor, the fuse blow immediatly everytime.
Any idea? Thanks.
Make sure your ground is really good.
Clean shiny metal to metal.
It is, the ground is in the trunk.
Could be a short somewhere. Follow the power wire from the fuse to the compressor. Look for any place that the wire’s insulation is cut or pinched - especially places like passing through a firewall.
Definitely sounds like a short, I had that happening with my button, I would push it and the fuse would blow, after replacing the entire wire I found a small cut that was touching the metal firewall shorting it out.
